Job Role as Senior Software Engineer:

We’re looking for experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the ISS Software Development team and help shape the future of digital products.

In this role, you'll do more than write code, you'll own solutions that operate at enterprise scale, collaborate directly with business stakeholders, and influence products used by hundreds of thousands of people. You'll work with modern cloud platforms, AI-powered technologies, and the latest engineering practices while taking an active role in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional decision-making.

We're looking for someone who understands how to bridge business needs with technical excellence. You know how to design scalable, well-governed enterprise solutions, lead technical discussions, challenge ideas constructively, and work confidently with Scrum teams to deliver meaningful outcomes.

What you’ll do:

Drive engineering excellence

• Be an active contributor to the Scrum team by continuously improving collaboration, team effectiveness, and delivery quality. 
• Take ownership of engineering outcomes, ensuring discussions result in clear decisions, actions, and measurable business value. 
• Champion engineering best practices, modern ways of working, and continuous improvement across the team. 
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to refine requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and provide reliable estimates. 
• Provide technical guidance that helps shape the product roadmap, backlog, and solution architecture. 

Build the next generation of AI-powered solutions 

• Leverage AI throughout the Software Development Lifecycle to design, build, test, and deliver software more efficiently. 
• Explore emerging AI technologies, participate in industry events, and bring practical, high-value innovations back into the organization. 
• Engineer modern cloud-native solutions 
• Design and develop enterprise-grade backend services using the latest Java ecosystem and Spring Framework. 
• Build scalable, cloud-native applications running on Microsoft Azure and Kubernetes. 
• Deliver modern frontend experiences using React. 
• Automate software delivery through Azure DevOps and Azure Pipelines. 

Deliver quality at scale 

• Take ownership of code quality through peer reviews, pull requests, and continuous improvements to engineering standards and quality gates. 
• Build and maintain automated testing using Playwright for end-to-end, smoke, component, and performance testing, while ensuring unit testing remains an integral part of development. 
• Validate solutions through manual verification where appropriate to ensure production-ready releases. 
• Focus on performance, scalability, maintainability, and predictable delivery while continuously improving estimation accuracy and engineering efficiency. 

Influence the direction, and values 

• Bridge business objectives with technical execution, ensuring every solution delivers measurable value. 
• Develop deep domain expertise in Facility Management, Workplace Experience, Workforce Management, and Placemaking. 
• Contribute to ISS's digital, cloud, and AI transformation by helping shape enterprise solutions that support the future of the business.
