The Job Role as Senior Network Engineer:

The Senior Network Engineer will play a key role in the operation, development and continuous improvement of our global network and cloud connectivity infrastructure. The position is based in Warsaw and is part of an international team responsible for ensuring a secure, stable and scalable network environment across multiple regions and business units.

The role focuses on managing and supporting a worldwide network landscape built on technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, UniFi and Microsoft Azure networking services. In addition to daily operations, troubleshooting and lifecycle activities, the position contributes to global network and cloud connectivity projects, standardization initiatives and the further development of automation capabilities. This includes supporting the automation of network processes, improving documentation and helping to increase operational efficiency across the global network environment.

The key contribution of this role is to ensure high network availability, strong security standards and reliable connectivity for the business worldwide, including connectivity between on-premises environments and cloud platforms. The Senior Network Engineer will act as a technical expert within the team, support complex incidents and changes, and work closely with colleagues from different countries and functions. The role requires strong technical expertise, solid Azure networking knowledge, a structured way of working and the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment.

 

 

What you’ll do:

  • Design, operate, maintain and continuously improve the global network and cloud connectivity infrastructure across multiple regions and business units.
  • Design, support and manage network environments based on technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco Meraki, UniFi and Microsoft Azure networking services.
  • Troubleshoot complex network and cloud connectivity issues, including LAN, WAN, firewall, VPN, routing and Azure networking topics.
  • Contribute to global network and cloud projects, including standardization, lifecycle management, migrations and rollouts.
  • Support secure connectivity between on-premises environments and Microsoft Azure, including VPN and routing-related configurations.
  • Support the development and implementation of network automation to improve efficiency, consistency and reliability.
  • Work closely with international IT teams, cloud teams, security teams, service providers and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure high availability, performance and security of business-critical network and connectivity services.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, network standards and operational procedures.
  • Provide technical guidance and act as an escalation point for complex network, firewall, VPN and Azure connectivity topics.
  • Identify opportunities to improve network operations, monitoring, automation and service quality.

Key qualifications:

Must have : 

  • Strong hands-on experience in network engineering within complex enterprise or global network environments.
  • Solid experience with next-generation firewalls, especially Palo Alto Networks.
  • Practical experience with Cisco Meraki network environments.
  • Practical experience with UniFi network components.
  • Strong Azure networking skills, including experience with cloud connectivity and hybrid network environments.
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies, including site-to-site VPN and remote access VPN.
  • Solid experience with IPsec-based connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of routing concepts, including static and dynamic routing.
  • Practical experience with BGP.
  • Good understanding of network security principles and secure network design.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex network issues across LAN, WAN, firewall, VPN, routing and Azure connectivity environments.
  • Ability to work in English within an international team.

Nice have:  

  • Experience with network monitoring tools, ideally Checkmk.
  • Basic Linux knowledge and confidence working with Linux-based systems or command-line environments.
  • Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Azure Bicep or ARM templates.
  • Basic scripting or programming skills, especially with Python or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Azure-related automation, for example using Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions or automated deployment workflows.
  • Experience in automating network operations, configuration tasks, infrastructure deployments or reporting.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure documentation, IP address management or source-of-truth concepts.
  • Experience working with APIs and integrating tools or systems.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts or version control tools such as Git.
  • Experience in international or globally distributed IT environments.
  • Relevant network, security, automation or cloud certifications are an advantage.

  • Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with international teams, stakeholders and service providers.
