Main purpose of the position:

We are looking for a senior cloud architect to architect and support implementation of Azure cloud infrastructure in ISS. You will be joining Cloud Operations team, that is responsible for building, maintaining and operating cloud infrastructure in Azure. You will play a crucial role in ISS's cloud transformation by architecting and optimizing Azure solutions that drive efficiency and innovation.

This role requires creating relationships with other teams as you lead cloud migration initiatives, optimize cloud infrastructure for cost and performance, and ensure security compliance. Collaborating with FinOps, DevSecOps, and the cloud operations team, you will implement automation practices and provide mentorship.
 

What you’ll do:

• Design landing zones for cloud migration, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions and compliance with ISS architectural and security requirements.
• Lead the technical areas in cloud migration projects from assessment through design to implementation and cut-over.
• Align with cloud security architects and SOC teams to ensure compliance and integrate new security requirements into cloud resources. 
• Lead the introduction and implementation of automation and IaC practices in collaboration with the DevOps team, reducing manual operational efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentor team members on cloud best practices, architecture patterns, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

Who you’ll work with:

• Cloud Platform Operations team located in Germany, Poland, Denmark, India and Indonesia
• DevOps team located in Portugal
• Application teams in Poland and Portugal and cloud migration stakeholders from various countries
• Azure platform architect, cloud security architect and network architect in Poland and Germany 
• You’ll report to the Head of Cloud Operations, who is in Denmark

Key qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Azure cloud administration including 2 years of experience with cloud architecture and solution design.
• Proven experience in cloud migration projects including planning, assessment, and implementation phases.
• Excellent communication skills, including fluent English and Polish
• Experience in working in a global enterprise with variety of international stakeholders is a plus
