Strengthening our Supply Chain and Procurement Business Partnering effort globally ISS’ Group Supply Chain & Procurement is now looking for a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to develop and drive strategic procurement activities globally and particularly for ISS’ strategic, global key account customers. This is a unique opportunity to take on a role where procurement is very strategic and close to business as well as to our key customers.

Job description
As a Project Manager in Group Supply Chain and Procurement you will be a driving force in bringing Group Supply Chain & Procurement’s portfolio of strategic initiatives to live, through strong execution and indirect leadership in the capability of a Group role, driving behaviours and results from Group to country to account level. Essentially, this role will be at the heart of Group Supply Chain & Procurement strategic aspiration of becoming a unique key account selling proposition for our most strategic, global key accounts.
Group Supply Chain & Procurement is today organized in a global Group function who manages global spend categories, supplier assurance and business partnering efforts at an aggregated level with a clear focus on harvesting synergies and driving outcomes across countries and regions, and Country organisations who are doing the same within the boundaries of the country. The role will be part of the Business Partnering team in Group Procurement Excellence & PMO with the key focus areas being: 1) to act as a business partner towards our Partnership Organization, 2) driving global highly strategic transitions with our countries for our Global Key Accounts, and 3) being a business partner and creating value towards our Global Key Accounts
To elaborate further, the role will:
Act as a business partner towards our Partnership Organization (ISS’ non-presence countries)
- Drive screening for partners in new markets
- Evaluation of partner competences
- Coordination of assurance activities such as vetting and audits
- Facilitating competitive bidding processes amongst shortlisted partners
- Negotiations, and contracting with partners
Driving global highly strategic transitions for our global key accounts
- Kick-off transitions with country procurement leads
- Establishing detailed and useable project plan enabling country procurement and assurance leads to execute in a consistent manner
- Sparring partner towards country procurement leads as due diligence commences and supply chain strategy is determined (self-delivery, consolidation of sub-contractors, increase of group supplier utilization, ect.)
- Support in execution of strategic sourcing processes
- “Program office” aggregating country status and flagging risks
- Analyse cross-country spend to identify savings and “glide-path” opportunities
Being a business partner for a Global Key Accounts and identifying and driving specific cost savings and optimisation initiatives

- Drive savings initiatives aggressively and coordinate sourcing efforts across ISS countries
- Identify and pursuit joint ISS-Account strategic sourcing initiatives in categories where win-win possibilities exist
- Visualise efforts and outcomes for Account to clarify value-add
- Drive supply chain initiatives aimed at supporting the Account in sustainability and diversity objectives
The role requires a strong consultancy toolbox including analytical, strategic, and executional capabilities as well fine-tuned project management skills. But more importantly, the role requires second-to-none stakeholder management and communications skills as you will need to collaborate in a matrix organisation in the intersection between Group – and Country Supply Chain & Procurement, the Global Key Account/Transition Organisation, and the Partnership Organisation.
The role is a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager depending on qualifications. As ISS is a global company you must expect 10 – 20 travelling days per year
Personal & Professional Qualifications
- You have an education within either commercial, business, engineering, legal or other relevant area
- You have relevant experience from a top tier management consulting firm or a procurement or business development function, ideally acquired at larger international and multicultural organizations in companies featuring matrix organizations
- It will be considered a clear advantage if you have proven experience in managing strategic procurement and sourcing projects and have knowledge of the Facilities Management industry
- You bring well-developed end-to-end skills ranging from analysis to implementation and savings/benefit realization with a proven track record of strong and result-oriented performance
- You are execution-focused with the ability to prioritize and focus on key tasks while adding structure to a changing and dynamic environment
- You possess the ability to understand customer requirements and have a natural inclination towards seeking win-win situations that benefit both the customer and ISS
- You have a well-balanced personality and possess good interpersonal skills which enables you to build relationships, network with and influence appropriate people at all levels, both internally and externally, to achieve desired outcomes
- You communicate diplomatically and persuasively with objective lines of argument/rationales for action and present viewpoints assertively and professionally with an ability to manage both downwards, horizontally, and upwards
