Main purpose of the position:

 

As a Junior IT Contract Manager, you will play an active role in shaping and improving our global IT contract landscape. You’ll support the GTS Vendor & Contract Management Team by coordinating key parts of the contract lifecycle, ensuring obligations are delivered on time, and helping the business keep suppliers accountable for performance, risk, and compliance. This role gives you hands on experience across a wide range of IT services and projects in an international environment, offering plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and build your expertise in IT contract management.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to GTS cost-savings and optimization initiatives by contract and vendor management activities.
  • Manage day-to-day contractual matters (e.g., respond to contract queries, track obligations, maintain contractual documentation, monitor milestones/renewals/notices) and proactively flag upcoming deadlines and risks in collaboration with Senior IT Contract Managers.
  • Support the contract owners and business stakeholders as a day-to-day point of contact for contract administration topics, incl. contract signature, coordinating approvals with Legal, Procurement, Finance and Compliance functions
  • Prepare, review and maintain contract documentation (e.g., statements of work, change orders, amendments) and ensure required approvals are obtained
  • Manage the reporting of contracts’ portfolio (e.g., deadlines, basic spend, renewals, supplier overview) and ensure data quality in contract repositories
  • Support vendor performance management by collecting inputs, evaluating performance, preparing meeting materials and documenting actions and outcomes
  • Assist in contract changes and implementation of agreed updates, ensuring that stakeholders are aligned and information is updated in relevant repositories

Key qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of Vendor & Contract Management practices, including contract lifecycle management and governance processes (preferably World Commerce & Contracting).                   
  • Master’s degree in Law or Commercial related field with strong contractual, legal, and negotiation skills.
  • 1–3 years of experience in contract management, procurement, vendor management, legal support (internships welcome).
  • Basic understanding of the contract lifecycle (e.g., SOWs, change control, renewals) and ability to learn quickly in a structured governance environment.
  • Interest in IT services and sourcing topics (e.g., software, cloud, managed services, pricing models, renewals, audit rights, IP, data protection, information security requirements, and third-party risk management) and feel comfort in working with commercial and contractual terminology.
  • Confident user of MS Office (especially Copilot, Excel and PowerPoint); experience with contract repositories, e-sourcing tools or Jira ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written); comfortable drafting and reviewing IT contract language and explaining key terms to both business and technical stakeholders.
  • First experience working in a multinational and/or global organization, including multi-country stakeholder management and exposure to global governance/approval processes.
