Main purpose of the position:
As an Integration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interface specifications and integration solutions. You will ensure seamless data exchange between systems while adhering to predefined software development processes. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to enhance system interoperability, troubleshoot integration issues, and maintain high-quality standards in compliance with best practices.
What you’ll do:
- Develop and optimize interface specifications, ensuring seamless system integrations.
- Define, develop, and modify integration solutions using predefined software development processes.
- Perform installation, configuration, and customization of integration platforms.
- Conduct and document developer/unit tests, ensuring compliance with project test plans.
- Analyze and resolve errors as part of incident and problem management.
- Conduct the development of interface specifications and recommend new code development or reuse of existing code.
- Derive and develop technical concepts from the solution concept; participate in interface development.
- Define, develop, and modify integration solutions using predefined software development processes.
- Perform installation, configuration, and customization of the integration platform.
- Independently define test conditions, design, execute, and document test cases according to project test plans.
- Conduct developer/unit tests of interfaces and integration modules to ensure specifications compliance.
- Document technical interfaces, functions, and changes, including error handling and backup/recovery procedures.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and review modules for QA and integration architecture standards.
- Analyze and resolve errors within incident and problem management frameworks.
- Communicate and collaborate with relevant departments involved in the integration process.

Key qualifications:
- University degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in integration development.
Proficiency in integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, or similar). - Solid understanding of API development (REST, SOAP) and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT).
- Experience with ETL processes and data transformation techniques.
- Knowledge of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM MQ).
- Experience with cloud-based integration services (e.g., Azure Logic Apps, AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Pub/Sub).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) for microservices-based architectures.
- Ability to perform installation, configuration, and customization of integration tools.
- Understanding of error handling, backup/recovery processes, and integration security best practices.
- Good grasp of CI/CD pipelines and automation for deployment.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database connectivity for integration purposes.
