Engagement Consultant – Digital Content and Employee Journeys

Main purpose for the position:
As part of our global Employee Experience function, the Engagement Consultant – Digital Content and Employee Journeys will support ISS HQ and country teams with relevant and engaging digital content strategies (i.e. intranet content design) for a large, frontline-heavy workforce. They will also drive the design, standardisation, and digitisation of critical employee journeys, with a heavy focus on supporting country teams with the digital onboarding journey at ISS. This role will work across the EX suite (MyISS, MyVoice, and MyLearning).
This role will develop and maintain a MyISS structure, journey, template and governance model for local P&C and functional teams, ensuring MyISS becomes a relevant and engaging frontline intranet and ‘digital companion’ for frontline workers. To support this, the successful candidate will establish effective feedback loops using MyVoice and other tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of both static digital content and technology-driven onboarding and other employee journeys, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
The candidate will also support the MyISS Product Owner as a technical and Content Management System (CMS) specialist to drive best practice on content design and templating, ensuring alignment between all content, journey and country-level MyISS initiatives with the overall MyISS program goals. Support to country, regional, and functional teams will be provided by the candidate through workshops and other best practice sharing techniques to ensure local digital content and journeys are delivered effectively, with impact clearly measured.
A successful candidate for this role will be inspirational, confident, and enthusiastic about frontline engagement, ideally with prior experience in digital employee experience and engagement in a global organisation.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- In alignment with the relevant EX platform owners, Group Learning and Development and Talent, support HQ and countries with the design and – where applicable – standardisation and digitisation of key employee journeys (e.g. onboarding, exit, change of role, development/promotion etc. with an initial focus upon onboarding) using a combination of MyISS, MyVoice and MyLearning to ensure seamless and engaging delivery of (in the case of onboarding):
- Relevant content and welcoming material (MyISS)
- Regular check-in surveys (MyISS and MyVoice)
- Mandatory/compliance trainings (MyLearning)
Facilitate focus groups with regions and countries and, where possible, elevate country best practice to become global standards using the Employee Experience technology platforms.
- Establish effective feedback loops using MyVoice and other tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of technology-driven onboarding and other employee journeys, making data-driven recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and maintain an intranet structure, templates and governance model for local functional teams, leading the development of MyISS into a relevant and engaging frontline intranet, and an intuitive, easy-to-navigate access point for an office-based Support Staff intranet at country level.
- Take responsibility for all MyISS content in the ‘global’ intranet space visible to all employees, including frontline workers, and liaising with global functional teams to ensure global content is engaging and relevant.
- Support the MyISS Product Owner as a technical and Content Management System (CMS) specialist to drive best design practice and templating, ongoing support and to ensure alignment between all Journey and country-level MyISS initiatives with the overall MyISS program goals.
- Support country, regional and functional teams through workshops, best practice sharing and other methods to ensure local digital content and journeys are delivered and have their impact measured using effective, standardised methodologies (including the use of MyVoice).
Professional and Personal Qualifications:
- Relevant economic, business or technical education
- Prior experience in driving adoption of employee platforms, workflows and content across multiple countries, languages and cultures
- Strong project management, communication and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in intranet and/or app-style Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Demonstrable capability in designing feedback loops to make data-driven design decisions
- Experience in developing and governing intranets and templates
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives, particularly in the context of employee experience and digital content.
