Our Programme

Our Global Management Trainee Programme is a graduate programme offering rotations and the opportunity for an international placement, designed to provide an exceptional start to your management career in operations.

Starting in September 2026, this 18-month management programme will equip you with excellent people management and customer partnering skills, and it is the springboard to a career within the world's largest facility management company. This programme will position you for a future management role and prepare you to utilize your qualified understanding and skills within operations, leadership and commercial excellence. Our long-term expectation is that you will move into a senior management position in operations and become a leader of the future at ISS.

Throughout the 18-month programme, you will engage in 3–4-month rotations across various service lines within cleaning, food, technical services, office management and workplace experience. These rotations are designed to build your competencies within key account management, including leadership, commercial, and financial skills. You will gain hands-on experience by working closely with all organisational levels, including our frontline staff, supervisors, site managers, and key account managers. Additionally, a three-month international placement will provide you with a global perspective on our operations and culture – previous Global Management Trainees have been in e.g. Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, Norway and Switzerland. This comprehensive approach ensures you develop a deep understanding of ISS services and are well-prepared for future leadership roles.

"Being part of the Global Management Trainee programme has been the perfect launchpad for my career. It has provided me with a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, while gaining exposure to different areas of the business. Through hands-on project work, operational rotations, and leadership insights, I’ve developed a well-rounded understanding of our organization on an operational, commercial, and financial level, alongside building a broad network both locally and internationally. My exchange in Hong Kong offered a truly global perspective, challenging me to navigate a new cultural environment and deepening my understanding of how our services deliver exceptional value to our clients on a global scale" says Caroline Kirkegaard Katzmann (Global Management Trainee).

People are at the core of our business, and unity, honesty, entrepreneurship, responsibility, and quality are the core values we live by at ISS. We believe that everyone has a voice and should contribute both to our success and our learning, as we evolve and grow. As an ambassador for ISS, you acknowledge the importance of having a respectful attitude towards the people around you.

Who are you?

With a business-related master's degree and relevant internship/work experience, preferably within operations, you are ready to invest in your future management career. You enjoy challenges and are interested in developing financial, leadership and decision-making capabilities needed to support our customers’ business needs. You are respectful, persistent, ambitious and detail-oriented, and you are naturally curious about growing your competencies, personal development and creating strong team unity.

We expect you to be a great communicator, able to simplify and convey information across business functions and all organisational levels within the organization. You are fluent in Danish and English, both written and orally.

You have a creative and curious mindset combined with a passion for people, innovative thinking and working proactively which means that you thrive in an ever-changing environment wherein empowerment is granted, and high level of engagement is expected. You enjoy a collaborative and feedback-oriented environment, striving to deliver results and working proactively with colleagues and customers alike. Finally, you are a team player who contributes positively to the collaboration and social aspects within the team and organization.

We offer

An interesting and challenging position along with exciting career development opportunities, both during the graduate program and in future leadership positions in our operations.

A dedicated management team, high professionalism and an informal culture with humor, sincerity, and room for a good laugh.

A good compensation package which includes pension scheme, health insurance, extra vacation days and other perks. In addition, you will get various benefits, such as discount schemes, vacation house program in Denmark and abroad as well as a fantastic social and professional network.

What could a future at ISS look like after finalizing Global Management Trainee Programme?

We are looking for people who want to make an impact in operations, where you’ll be at the heart of everything we do. Your career will be rooted in operations, but it won’t be confined to a single track. You’ll gain exposure to diverse challenges and experience strong synergies with key support functions, giving you a broad perspective on how we create value together.

There is no predefined path – your journey depends on your ambitions, competencies, and interests. Many of our alumni have advanced into senior management roles within operations as Site Managers or Key Account Managers. Whether your goal is to lead a site, drive operational excellence, or influence commercial strategy, we’ll support you in finding the right direction.

You can read some of our former trainees' stories here, by clicking on their name: Tenna Lundberg Barsøe (Key Account Manager), Frederikke Bollerup-Jensen (Bid Management Director) and Bertram Vode Bramminge (Key Account Manager).

So, are you ready to invest in your future career?

To be considered for this programme, please apply no later than January 14th, 2026, by uploading your CV and cover letter. We review applications continuously.

You should expect a thorough recruitment process, wherein you will meet highly professional specialists and managers. Relevant applicants will be invited to a kick-off event on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Søborg Tower.

At the event, you will gain deeper insight into the graduate programme, learn more about ISS, and hear from former graduates who now hold senior management positions within ISS Denmark.

Because the kick-off is an integral part of the recruitment process, it includes an in-person interview. Attendance is therefore mandatory, and we are unfortunately unable to consider applications from candidates who cannot participate.

Following the kick-off, the most suitable candidates will be invited to a series of in-depth interviews. Finalists will then be invited to our global assessment centre in March or April 2026.

If accepted, you will report to a senior manager at our large key accounts during your rotations, and you will be allocated a mentor from our Country Leadership Team to support your learning and personal development throughout the entire 18-month journey. You will also be assigned a buddy who is a graduate alumni, while having a strong connection to the People & Culture department.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Talent Acquisition Partner, Kristoffer Aagaard, at kristoffer.aagaard@dk.issworld.com.

We look forward to receiving your application!
