Main purpose of the position:
As part of the ISS Values and the OneISS Strategy, ISS is focused on driving and sustaining a compliance culture in order to adhere to the increasing regulatory demands and accommodate the needs of customers and other stakeholders.
As Data Privacy and Legal Compliance Consultant at ISS HQ, you will play an important role in the Group Data Privacy and Legal compliance team, which is part of Group Legal. We are responsible for embedding responsible business conduct and legal compliance into the organisation by drafting common policies, standards, and guidelines specifying how ISS addresses important areas such as data privacy, business ethics, human rights and ESG related regulation.
What you will do:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating privacy-related agreements and documents to ensure they align with legal requirements and business priorities.
- Conducting and overseeing privacy impact assessments, audits, and other documentation to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Reviewing relevant policy documents and support the training and implementation thereof.
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments, advising the business on how to reduce risks, while also seeking to ensure that business needs are met in a practical way.
- Preparing and facilitating data protection and legal compliance forum meetings.
Who you will work with:
You will work closely with the Group Data Privacy and Legal compliance team as well as with key stakeholders, such as Group People & Culture, Group Supply Chain & Procurement and Group Information Technology and Digital Services. As the role is globally focused, you will interact with legal and compliance specialists in ISS country companies.
Key qualifications:
- Master of Laws, Master of Business Administration and Commercial Law (cand.merc.jur.) or equivalent education.
- 3-5 years of experience from a legal, consulting, or compliance function, working with data privacy and ESG related topics such as CSRD and CSDDD . It will be considered an advantage if you have experience with drafting, implementing and follow-up on compliance processes in an organisation.
- Strong organizational, communication, and cooperating abilities, complemented by a business acumen.
- Process- and stakeholder management.
- Fluent in written and spoken English
