Position Overview:
The Customer Solutions Director – International Markets holds a critical role in driving growth across ISS’s global Office and Production segments. The position is responsible for identifying, shaping, and securing complex, strategic sales opportunities by developing innovative, scalable, and client-centric solutions. Serving as a trusted advisor to both new and existing customers, the role is key to translating client needs into commercial solutions that improve business outcomes and drive ISS growth.
This role leads the strategic direction and execution of scalable bids and works in close partnership with peers; Global Solutions Directors, Global Key Account Leads, and cross-functional internal stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of high-impact, value-driven propositions. The Customer Solutions Director – International Markets plays a pivotal role in securing strategically important contracts and enabling sustainable, long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end sales and bid process, from opportunity identification through to contract award and operational transition.
- Develop robust win strategies and tailored commercial solutions in alignment with segment strategy, ISS products, and operational standards.
- Provide consultative guidance to clients on commercial models and service design that enable the achievement of strategic business outcomes.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of market trends, competitive positioning, and the external landscape to ensure differentiation and value creation.
- Collaborate closely with country-level commercial teams to ensure global-to-local alignment and effective execution.
- Engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders—including operations, finance, legal, and other enabling functions—to ensure comprehensive, cross-functional deal support.
- Manage internal governance, ensuring all proposals adhere to ISS policies, risk protocols, and approval frameworks.
- Support the Global Solutions Directors and Key Account Leads in closing opportunities and transitioning contracts into stable, long-term partnerships.
Reporting & Key Relationships:
- Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer – Either Office or Production Segment
- Key Stakeholders: Customers (Existing & New), Global Commercial Team, Segment Leadership, Regional and Country Chief Commercial Officers, Executive Group Management, Operational Leadership
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrated success in leading and securing large, complex, and multinational contracts within a B2B environment.
- Extensive experience managing high-performing, cross-functional bid and sales teams.
- Strong background in solution development, commercial modelling, and customer engagement at senior executive levels.
- Proven ability to operate in a matrixed, global organisation with multiple stakeholder interfaces.
- Commercial acumen and financial literacy with the ability to evaluate and present data-driven business cases.
