Main purpose of the position:

The Communications Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting the Group Communications team by coordinating global communication activities that enable effective implementation and measurement of internal and external campaigns and activities. This role requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects. You will also be trained in and gain experience of professional writing and editing to assist in creating and distributing engaging content across various channels. This is a part-time position with approximately 15 hours per week.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Managing distribution lists, mailboxes and other channels
  • Act as a point-of-contact to communications colleagues in ISS country offices and managing a global communications community, including monthly communications leadership meetings
  • Owning the global communications Sharepoint site, comms calendar and project management tool
  • Assisting and project managing procurement processes
  • Other admin/ad-hoc tasks supporting the Group Communications team including content creation, filming support and publishing content

About the team:

The Group Communications function at ISS is a diverse, geographically distributed team working remotely and in-person to deliver impactful global internal and external communications campaigns, aligning with the company’s strategic priorities and thought leadership themes. We advise and support senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organisation and cultivate a global communications leadership community offering knowledge-sharing, sparring and upskilling.

 

Key qualifications:

  • Education: Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Experience in a communications role or internship is an advantage.

 

Personal skills you excel:

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in English
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
