What will you do as Solution Architect:
As a Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in shaping our organization’s technology landscape. You’ll collaborate with line-of-business stakeholders, assess existing solutions, and design future-state architectures. Your strategic insights will drive business process improvements and enable the adoption of cutting-edge technologies.
Designing System Architecture:
- Developing concepts and designs for IT system architecture to meet business, performance, and security requirements.
- Defining the structure of applications to be created or modified within a project.
- Designing the integration methods between different IT systems.
- Creating the initial system architecture as a starting point for further work.
- Improving and optimizing existing system architecture in response to changing needs, including evaluating the current state of solutions and identifying gaps.
- Designing database architecture.
- Creating prototypes and solution skeletons, including recommending and developing design patterns and architectural standards.
- Defining principles related to the software development process.
- Designing systems in monolithic or distributed architecture.
- Developing recommendations regarding specific system solutions, including for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and self-developed software.
Creating Solution Specifications:
- Translating business and functional requirements into a technical design for the future system.
- Defining detailed technical requirements for projects, including hardware environment, infrastructure, necessary software, selection of tools, and technologies.
- Preparing project specifications and specifications for the technical environments needed for its implementation.
Developing Technical Documentation:
- Creating conceptual and design documentation describing the system's architecture and operation, following the ISS Standards.
- Preparing descriptions of the system's construction (design) solutions.
- Documenting the technical parameters of the system.
- Creating schemas, diagrams (e.g., UML), and technical drawings illustrating the architecture, data flow, or component operation.
- Developing and updating procedures related to the designed system or architecture.
- Describing the non-functional properties of the product/system resulting from the adopted architecture.
- Defining the conditions of use and limitations for the designed solution.
What makes you fit:
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Systems Analysis, or a related field, or possesses equivalent practical experience.
- Has more than 5 years of professional IT experience, demonstrating the ability to think strategically and translate plans into operational excellence.
- Possesses deep expertise and preferably some business knowledge in specific domains.
- Experience with Cloud native development (preferably AWS/Azure), microservices, APIs (REST/GraphQL), OAuth/SAML and Patterns (e.g. event-driven, messaging).
- Knowledge of various Integration patterns and IT Security best practices (OWASP) is a must.
- Holds expertise across multiple technological domains, including Cloud, Automation, Software Development, Data, and AI.
- Remains “evergreen” by actively keeping up-to-date with technology trends and emerging technologies.
- Ability to communicate with, convince and inspire senior management, explaining findings and associated risks such that impact is clear and ownership is taken
- Competence in creating comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and integrations.
- Strong skills in working with others, fostering a cooperative and productive team environment.
- Proficiency in identifying issues and developing effective solutions.
- Flexibility to adjust to new challenges and environments, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
