Job Role as Senior Data Warehouse:
Working on our Global Data Platforms team you’ll help us build the data infrastructure behind ISS, a global corporation spanning 40+ countries changing the data landscape of the company. You will work across a global team supporting local country teams and help us figure out how to build the best data models for the business functions focusing on Finance. Interfacing with business stakeholders across the globe and country leadership teams you’ll figure out the best way to harmonise global data, integrating systems across our complex technology landscape.

What you’ll do:
- Design and implement semantic data models that will become our data Lakehouses.
- Query Optimization and Performance tuning towards reporting.
- Engage with business and source system stakeholders to understand their data and needs.
- Navigate the technology landscape acting as the SQL expert that can support, manage and migrate data warehouses towards modern Lakehouse setups.
- Champion data literacy, interacting with both business and technology organizations to help drive our data strategy and vision.
Who you’ll work with:
- Business stakeholders across finance, operations, people and more functions
- You’ll be part of the Data Solutions and Engineering team in Porto and a global Data Intelligence team spanning BI, AI/ML and covering global analytical use cases of the organisation.
- Joining our Porto tech hub “The Place”, you will work with 70+ Colleagues supporting technology in the organisation for all sorts of purposes as part of our 4 HQ offices in Copenhagen, Warsaw, Gdansk and Porto.
What makes you fit:
- 5+ Years of experience in SQL and Data warehouses / ETL
- Experience in Corporate Finance, ERP or Accounting related systems.
- Knowledge of Python, Spark and at least one cloud platform (Azure Preferred)
- Experience building data Lakehouses and at least one platform (Databricks Preferred)
- Degree in Software Engineering / Computer Science / Finance or adjacent fields.
- Experience with Data SDLC including Quality, CI/CD, Versioning and good practices
- Self-management and Project planning
- Communication and stakeholder engagement, interested in networking inside the company.
- Strategy and business oriented, understanding value generated with data.
