IoT Test Automation Engineer

Main purpose of the position

The IoT Global Platform team will act as a vital link and enablers between stakeholders such as customers, Business Platforms, Global Big Data and the countries/regions. Hence there is the need to have a committed colleague acting as responsible Test and Quality Engineer to take the technical ownership to help the IoT Developers / ML Engineers to build respective solutions and to manage and document architectural and logic setup of IoT platform and infrastructure.

What you’ll do:

• Design, build, test, and deployment of effective test automation solutions for the IoT platform and the running use-cases and solutions to coordination and supervise automated tests
• Responsibility for and creation of automated test concepts and alignment of test methods and procedures
• Participation in the development and expansion of testing methodology  
• Coordination with development to prepare for test automation within early stages of the development process
• Consulting and coaching of development teams with regards to test automation
• Creates traceability records, from test cases back to requirements
• Producing test scripts, materials and regression test packs to test new and amended software or services
   

Key qualifications:

• Education: BS in computer science, electrical engineering, or related technical field.
• 3 - 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• 2+ years’ experience performing QA Testing and generating test reports
• Knowledge of development life cycle best practices including version control, QA, build/release management, and regression testing
• Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Wireshark, Tcpdump, Shodan, SOASTA CloudTest) and modern software test/deployment methodologies.
