The Job Role as Global SaaS Application Owner:

We’re looking for a Global SaaS Application Owner to take end-to-end ownership of a business-critical global platform and its supporting technology ecosystem.

This is a hands-on application ownership role, not a traditional Service Delivery position. You’ll be responsible for how the application operates, is configured, evolves and delivers value to the business.

You don’t need experience with our specific platform or Sustainability/HSE. We’re looking for someone who has owned and configured a complex SaaS or enterprise application and can quickly develop deep expertise in a new platform and business area.

What you’ll do:

• Own the SaaS application end-to-end, including configuration, users and access, performance, data, integrations and continuous improvement.
• Become the internal application expert, developing deep knowledge of its configuration, workflows, functionality, data model and business processes.
• Take hands-on responsibility for application configuration, translating business requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
• Own the user and access management process, including provisioning, deprovisioning, roles, permissions and access governance.
• Manage application changes, releases, upgrades, testing and business validation.
• Own and prioritise the application roadmap and backlog based on business value, risk and strategic priorities.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business problems, challenge requirements and identify the right technology or process solution.
• Manage the SaaS supplier, holding them accountable for service, issue resolution and roadmap commitments.
• Oversee integrations, APIs, data pipelines and supporting technologies, working with specialist IT teams where needed.
• Measure application success through adoption, process improvement, service performance and business outcomes, not just SLAs.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardisation and better use of existing platform capabilities.
• Investigate complex application issues and drive problems through to root-cause resolution.

Who you’ll work with:

• Global sustainability, Business Operations Partner and compliance teams.
• Internal IT teams (integration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, support).
• SaaS vendor and external support partners.
• Data governance, enterprise architecture, and cross-functional governance board.

Key qualifications:

• Proven experience owning and managing a complex SaaS or enterprise application.
• Hands-on experience with application configuration, including workflows, business rules, permissions or similar configurable functionality.
• Experience owning user and access management, including provisioning, deprovisioning, roles, permissions and access governance.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into practical system solutions.
• Experience managing application changes through configuration, testing, business validation and release.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to understand, challenge and prioritise business requirements.
• Experience managing SaaS vendors and external suppliers, including performance, escalations and delivery commitments.
• Good understanding of integrations, APIs, data flows and identity/access management within an enterprise application environment.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance and reporting within business applications.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues and drive root-cause resolution.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, automation and process standardisation.
• Ability to measure and demonstrate application adoption, business impact and value, not simply operational performance or SLAs.
• Ability to rapidly learn new applications, technologies and business processes and develop into a trusted application expert.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business, technology and supplier teams.
• Experience working within global, multi-country or regulated environments would be advantageous.
• Platform-specific or HSE/Sustainability experience is not required. We are looking for transferable experience managing configurable enterprise applications and the ability to quickly develop deep knowledge of a new platform and business domain.
