Job Role as Data Support Engineer:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Data Support Engineer to join our team.In this role, the focus will be on the operation and support of our main internal Platform for Data Ingestion, providing first- and second-level support to ensure data workflows run smoothly and behave as expected.
The position involves driving and coordinating deployments and performing data onboarding tasks to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of data operations.
Additionally, It's expected that this role works in close collaboration with the development team, contributing to lightweight development and coding activities that enhance automation, reliability, and the overall efficiency of the platform. The role also takes an active part in monitoring the platform, developing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems/dashboards to proactively identify and address potential issues.

- Onboard internal systems and stakeholders into the Data Platform, ensuring a smooth integration experience and effective adoption.
- Provide first- and second-level support for data-related issues, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to guarantee the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data contracts.
- Support and drive deployments of new data ingestions and updates to data contracts, ensuring smooth rollouts and minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data ingestion, transformation, and mapping issues in close collaboration with development and engineering teams.
- Contribute to lightweight and low-code development activities, helping to automate and streamline data operations.
- Monitor and maintain end-to-end data ingestion workflows, ensuring reliability and optimal performance.
- Provide training and guidance to internal users, promoting best practices and effective use of data systems.
- Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities for optimization and continuously improve data processes and platform efficiency.
- Design, develop, and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively detect and address potential issues before they impact users.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, support procedures, and troubleshooting guides — working with autonomy and ownership.
What makes you fit:
- University degree in a relevant field (or equivalent education/training).
- Previous experience in a support-oriented role, ideally within a data or platform environment.
- >2 years of hands-on experience working with data manipulation, data analysis, and/or data mapping.
- Experience with Databricks (or Spark) and/or Azure resources; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric is considered a strong plus.
- Comfortable with Python — while the role focuses on low-code data application development, the ability to debug, enhance, and identify improvements within existing frameworks is highly valued.
- Knowledge or familiarity with monitoring strategies and observability practices.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and data quality.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
