For our Digital Components department, we are looking for an Android Developer who will be responsible for creating and implementing new functionalities in Digital Component apps. The person will be responsible for developing new features, maintaining existing applications, releasing and provisioning new applications, and gathering and translating business requirements into technical specifications.

The key to this role is having technical expertise in Android development and a deep understanding of business needs and requirements. This will allow for the detailed creation and enhancement of our digital products. You will be tasked with transforming business needs into functional and technical specifications, ensuring all new functionalities meet the desired acceptance criteria.

The Android Developer will also manage the full lifecycle of applications, from initial development through to release and provisioning. You will work closely with Business and Subject Matter Experts, as well as all potential user groups of the software. Additionally, you will receive support and consulting from the Business team, the development team, and the Solution Architect to ensure successful implementation and integration of new features.

What will you do:

• Develop and implement new functionalities for Digital Component apps
• Maintain and improve existing applications to enhance performance and user experience.
• Manage the release and provisioning of new applications.
• Gather and translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications.
• Collaborate closely with Business and Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment with user needs
• Ensure all new features meet defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation for all developed functionalities.
• Ensure high standards of quality assurance across all development stages.
• Collaborate with and mentor new team members, fostering a collaborative and learning environment.
• Participate in Digital Transformation initiatives by introducing best practices and standards for future team members.

What makes you a great fit:

• University degree or an equivalent education and training.
• More than 3 years of work experience in similar position.
• Proven experience in Android development.
• Ability to manage the full application lifecycle from development to release.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and documentation.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to work, with a passion for solving problems to the highest quality standards.
• Ability to translate business needs into functional and non-functional technical requirements.
• Good communication skills; allowing free communication with the international environment (written and verbal).
• Good knowledge of Agile, Scrum, software delivery cycle.
• Must have knowledge within: Android, Android Studio, Kotlin, Google Console, Git
• Nice to have knowledge within: Jira, Confluence, BrowserStack, Web Progressive App Design, Azure Cloud, AzureDevOps, CI/CD
