The Job Role as AI Solutions Lead:

The AI Solutions Team Lead is responsible for leading the AI Solutions capability within Analytics, Data & AI and ensuring the successful delivery, operationalisation, and scaling of enterprise AI solutions. The role combines people leadership, technical leadership, and delivery accountability to transform business needs into scalable, governed, and reusable AI solutions. The position is expected to strengthen engineering maturity, establish common standards and delivery practices, define usage patterns for key central AI platforms, drive adoption of reusable frameworks and accelerators, and ensure that AI solutions can move successfully from experimentation into production and long-term operation. The AI Solutions Team Lead works across business, data science, analytics and other technical teams to create a consistent and scalable approach to AI development across ISS.

What you’ll do:

• Lead the AI Solutions team and support the growth, development, and performance of engineers and specialists.
• Drive the design, delivery, operationalisation, and lifecycle management of enterprise AI solutions.
• Enable countries, business units, and technical teams to build and deploy AI solutions on the central AI platforms, and drive platform improvements with Platform Engineering based on solution requirements and practical delivery experience.
• Lead strategic or complex AI projects, working with Product Management, Business Analytics, Data Scientists, Platform Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Governance teams to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant solutions.
• Maintain and evolve development standards, engineering practices, reference architectures, and reusable solution components for AI solutions.

Who you’ll work with:

• Head of Data Science & AI Solutions and the broader Analytics, Data & AI leadership team.
• Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, AI and ML Engineers, and Solution Owners across Analytics, Data & AI.
• Data Platform, Data Engineering, Architecture, Security, and Governance teams.
• Business stakeholders, product owners, countries, functions, and account teams driving AI adoption and value realisation.

Key qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience delivering data, analytics, AI, or software engineering solutions within enterprise environments.
• 3+ years of experience leading technical teams, engineering communities, or solution delivery functions.
• Proven ability to translate business priorities into scalable technical solutions and drive delivery across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Strong knowledge of AI/ML engineering, software engineering practices, cloud platforms, APIs, AI platforms, and modern development frameworks.
• Experience operationalising AI solutions from proof of concept through production deployment, monitoring, and support.
• Good working knowledge of architecture, governance, security, and lifecycle management principles for enterprise technology solutions.
• Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to build high-performing technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology perspectives.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, reuse, and capability building.
• Structured problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex and ambiguous environments.
