Main purpose of the position
Our global network team is growing and we are currently looking for an experienced network engineer to join us for a position of network service operation engineer. For this position specifically, we are looking for an engineer experienced with configuration and operation of Palo Alto next generation firewalls and/or PA Prisma, but you will also have opportunity to get engaged with networking in public cloud (Azure/AWS) as well as Cisco Meraki and other networking vendors and solutions.
What you’ll do:
- Produce robust and stable network designs, primarily in a data centre domain (both on-prem and cloud), in accordance with ISS global network and security standards
- Deploy network solutions into our production network which involves working with in country heads to agree on a change window slot, raising a change, carrying out the implementation, liaising with business to ensure post change testing is done and updating documentation
- Operate the data centre network (responds to tickets, assist in troubleshooting)
Who you’ll work with
In your role as network service operation engineer, you will be in close collaboration with:
- Global Security Architecture and Global Information Security
- Global IT Architecture
- Global compute and storage services
- In country IT infrastructure heads
Key qualifications (ideal candidate would have all or a combination of these):
- Hands-on experience with configuration and operation of Palo Alto next generation firewalls
- In-depth knowledge of networking designs and solutions including routing (OSPF/BGP), data centre (load balancers, firewalls, resiliency concepts), WAN (e.g. SD-WAN)
- Experience (or an appetite to get experienced) with public cloud networking designs and operations (ideally Azure, but also AWS)
- Experience (or an appetite to get experienced) with Cisco Meraki solution
- Knowledge and/or experience with various network solutions (e.g Cisco ISE)
- Knowledge and/or experience with network automation tools (git, Ansible, Python) is considered a plus
- Network certification is considered a benefit

- Fluency in English
