Position Summary:
 
Maintains front of the house presentation and sanitation standards in MicroKitchens, Hub Kitchens & Cafes. Order, receive, stock designated product. Merchandise products in an attractive manner to Guckenheimer standard.  Demonstrates Customer hospitality and service standards. Greet guests, making them feel welcome. Ensure full compliance with Allergen Policy.
 

Qualifications:

  • 2 years retail sales or customer service experience.
  • 2 years’ experience merchandising products.
  • 2 years providing excellent one on one customer service.
  • Upbeat attitude and a passion for food!
  • Ability to communicate with customers in English.
  • Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Smile, greet and serve customers, making them feel welcome.
  • Must adhere to time/attendance and uniform requirements
  • Maintain product inventory and ensure all items and condiments are stocked and rotated to their established levels throughout the day.
  • Display product in an attractive manner and maintain cleanliness and setup of all front of house spaces
  • Responsible for accurately labeling all items and ensuring signage holders are accurate, clean and placed next to the correct product.
  • Substitute for &/or assist other FoH/BoH employees during emergencies or rush periods.
  • Ability to oversee receiving and organize storage spaces when necessary
  • Must follow all HACCP, FIFO, safety rules, and actively prevent accidents.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness and set up of front of the house, all glass cleaning, all signage, as well as the timely pickup and replenish of all dishware
  • Assist with front house set up and break down of food products, smallwares etc.
  • During peak service times replenish Foods, Utensils, Beverages and Condiments. Work efficiently on helping customers while keeping everything around the café clean by HACCP guideline

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to merchandise products attractively.
  • Manage inventory to meet the needs and preferences of the customers.
  • Must comply with all ServSafe and HACCP programs and principles.
  • Use of Servsafe practices for preventing cross contamination & common allergens.
  • Willingness and flexibility to take on additional responsibilities when needed (cleaning and dishwashing assignments.)
  • Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations.
  • Job requires accepting feedback and dealing calmly and effectively with ambiguity and changing work environments

Nonessential Skills:

  • Knowledge of local vendors
  • 1-year experience in a food service environment

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. Employees must be able to work on their feet 7.5 hours per day excluding breaks.
  • Employees must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
  • Must be able to load and push a cart a short distance.
