Main purpose of the position:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Global Bid Manager to join our Global Client Solutions and Bid Management team. As a Global Bid Manager, you will play a critical role in driving our business growth by managing the end-to-end bid process for international projects. To be successful, you will be responsible for high quality written tender material for our most strategic bids. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, analyse bid requirements, and create winning proposals. What you’ll do:
- Lead the bid management process for global opportunities, from initial qualification to submission, in line with the company’s best practice procedures and management processes
- Follow and ensure best practice bid writing techniques to create compelling tenders and sales presentations
- Coordinate quality reviews in line with the bid process and ensure tenders and executive summaries are customer focused and benefits led
- Participate in strategic planning that includes evaluating marketing intelligence, identifying customer concerns and key issues, developing win strategies and value propositions
- Collaborate with sales, technical, legal, and finance teams to develop compelling bid strategies and bespoke high-quality bids
- Play an active role in managing and maintaining our content libraries and bid process framework
- Maintain bid/customer information through the CRM system.
Who you’ll work with:
- You will be working part of a closely-knit team of solutions and pricing leads, subject matter experts and commercial professionals across the globe.
Key qualifications:
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of bid management experience, preferably in a global context leading $30m+ bid opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
- APMP or similar certification is preferred but not essential
- Experience in project management, editing, formatting, preparing presentations and writing proposals
- Strong MS Office skills (particularly MS Word and PowerPoint)

- Team driven with an ability to multi-task
- Capable project manager and organiser able to meet tight deadlines under pressure
- Ability to work with large, complex teams with a winning attitude
- Ability to challenge colleagues and ensure appropriate responses are secured from the Subject Matter Experts
- High level of attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure are essential for this role
