Main purpose of the position
As part of a leading Financial sector key account team, the Business Case Lead is responsible for the drafting and ongoing management of business cases and project proposals as part of a strategic business unit. The successful candidate will be integral to operational delivery for key projects that are intended to reshape the operation through efficiency and improved service delivery. The Business Case Lead will coordinate with business analysts and team members on-account and off-account ISS teams, client representatives and third-party operations to translate findings from intelligence reports into business cases that can drive performance.
What you’ll do:
- Manage a portfolio of business cases from ideation through to refinement and concluding impact analysis following pilot testing or other trials
- Draft briefing documents and presentations that link up to a defined stage gate process that governs the progress of how initial business cases evolve into operational practice
- Support the global account team with identifying localised findings that could be translated into a scalable business case
- Conduct on-site operational reviews, working to better understand the connection between operational practices and data
- Ensure change control documentation related to the embedment of successfully tested business cases is accurately prepared in support of effective commercial governance
- Develop pricing proposals for field testing / pilot testing business cases in conjunction with finance colleagues
Who you’ll work with:
- A strategy pod charged with developing analysis based solutions
- A leading Financial sector account team working in over 25 countries
Key qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as finance, economics or accounting.
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial management
- Prior experience with developing business cases
- Examples of collaboration across business functions within prior work experience
Personal skills you excel:
- A passion for effective documentation and an eye for detail
- Skill in developing business cases related to change programmes or new projects, acquisition transactions or other areas
- Document development and version management with a strength in drafting effective, concise materials
- Excellent presentation skills and a keen ability to extract key information from documents into summaries and powerpoint style presentations
- An ability to take feedback and performance data from test cases and adapt papers or generate findings reports to compare original cases against test data
