Senior Facility Manager

Key Purpose


The Senior Facility Manager is responsible for devising strategies and policies to ensure that the organization meets its goals by planning, directing, and coordinating daily operational activities. People in this role assess different options and choose the best course of action to identify issues, recognize shortcomings, and effectively carry out solutions.  The Senior Facility Manager must be able to communicate clearly and persuasively to effectively discuss issues and negotiate with others, direct subordinates, and explain their policies and decisions to those within and outside the organization.



Success Criteria


  • Delivery on contract promises, increased effectiveness and/or efficiency of delivered services through deployment of ISS standards and concepts leveraging innovation and best practice opportunities’
  • Manage resources, including management of resource budget
  • In partnership with internal and external stakeholders understand upcoming priorities and linking project delivery to the needs of the business
  • Deployment of relevant projects following the global/local standards while having complete ownership of project rollout and completion
  • Develop own skill base in line with agreed appraisal, taking responsibility for increased performance, and ensuring continued self-improvement
  • Show initiative and contribute positively to the effective running of the facility to deal effectively with unforeseen problems
  • Promote responsibility for safe and controlled work environments
  • Ensure that all customer complaints are handled professionally, appropriately, and promptly
  • Establish and enforce company and customer goals, policies, and procedures

  • Advise the Senior Management Team on decisions relating to the facilities operations and performance
  • Attend senior staff meetings as required and prepares monthly and quarterly status reports
  • Supervise all staff in relation to their day-to-day facility requirements




Ideal Candidate Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or closely related field and or equal experience
  • 12+ years of supervisory or managerial experience with a strong emphasis on customer service in a class “A” and or manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrates strong skills in: Communication, Decision-making, Leadership, and Problem-solving
  • Demonstrates professional and political aptitude
  • Experience in Energy Management Systems
  • Demonstrate strong skills in all areas related to the maintenance and operations of Electro/Mechanical systems found in an office, warehouse and data center facilities including raised floor space
  • Possession of all required certifications/licenses related to refrigerants and facility operations
  • Strong computer proficiency skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)



Key Accountabilities


  • Ensure delivery on contract promises
  • Identify and leverage opportunities for improvement and best practice across the account working from the global/local concept toolbox
  • Responsibility for innovation at account including deploying own resources in relevant Corporate Garage activities
  • PMO responsibility ensuring delivery on time, budget, and quality of prioritized projects and programs on the account
  • Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to identify and rollout project support
  • Engage in a wide network of Account Excellence Managers to ensure a steady flow of best practice sharing
  • Conducts periodic internal review to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
  • Increase customer loyalty and satisfaction through service excellence
  • Manage to the customers KPI’s
  • Manage on-site technicians and vendor service providers
  • Ensure all health and safety requirements and established and followed by on-site staff and sub-contractors
  • Develop and manage a range of budgets related to site maintenance and development of facilities
  • Oversee service contacts and other appropriate SLAs related to the performance of office, landscape, data center, and warehouse facilities
  • Support and manage building refurbishment, redevelopment, and major works initiatives



Physical Demands & Work Environment


  • Long working hours
  • Sitting at a computer for 50% of the time
  • Walking/Inspecting the site 50% of the time
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 10 pounds
  • Must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods


The client requires all subcontract employees and new hires to have received the COVID 19 vaccine and to be fully vaccinated before entering the client’s worksite(s).
