Receiver - Full Time - 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday thru Friday. 
Position is in Los Angeles 90064

Position Summary:

Places orders and receives orders from purveyors. Maintain accurate inventory to the highest standards for organization, cleanliness, and safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Verify and keep accurate records on incoming orders.
  • Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs and verifies items on requisitions or invoices.
  • Receives and processes a wider variety of incoming freight, including produce, meats, dairy, dry goods, chemicals, and other materials on a daily basis and according to priority.
  • Compares incoming products to bills of invoices, orders, or other records to verify information.
  • Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with vendors to rectify damages and shortages.
  • Orders Products using Net menu Platform and rotates stock to ensure freshness.
  • Prepares product for distribution, including transportation and storage.
  • Returns damaged items or other items to vendors that do not meet our specifications.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of storage areas by sweeping and mopping.
  • Complies with all HACCP/OSHA, and/ or local policies and procedures related to all assigned work.
  • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Drive company van and make deliveries.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with all coworkers, vendor representatives, supervisors, managers, customers, and client representatives.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Produce, Meat, and Seafood product knowledge.
  • Job requires knowledge of MSDS and correct chemical handling.
  • Assist other team member staff as required.
  • Current Food Handler card or ability to be certified immediately after hire. 
  • Must have current CA Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 #.
  • Employee must be able to work on their feet 8 hours per day excluding breaks.
  • Employee must be able to work under pressure and time deadlines during peak periods.
  • Ability to remove garbage to dumpster areas.
  • Proper lifting skills when handling stock.
  • Ability to load and push a cart long distances.
