Main purpose of the position: 

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic Procure-to-Pay (PTP) team supporting transactional invoice processing activities for the Germany market. You will be responsible for the accurate and timely validation of supplier invoices, ensuring all required data is correctly captured and processed in line with internal procedures and Service Level Agreements.

Your daily tasks will include working with invoice processing tools (e.g., ABBYY, SAP), performing basic data checks, correcting recognition errors, and flagging discrepancies according to defined guidelines. You will handle incoming queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate responses.

You will collaborate closely with vendors, ISS employees, and internal teams to support smooth invoice processing and maintain compliance with company policies. This role offers a solid foundation to develop expertise in PTP processes within a global Finance Service Center environment.

What will you do:  

• Receive and process supplier invoices (paper and e-invoices) in line with ISS policies and ISS requirements.
• Perform initial invoice validation in ABBYY, ensuring all mandatory header and basic fields are captured correctly.
• Verify key invoice details such as vendor, PO number, invoice date, and amounts.
• Correct simple recognition errors from OCR and complete missing data where applicable.
• Flag discrepancies and mark errors according to SOP guidelines.
• Route or reject non-compliant invoices following defined procedures.
• Support timely processing of invoices to meet daily volume and SLA targets.
• Handle basic queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders via relevant tools.
• Ensure accurate documentation and audit trail for processed invoices.

Professional skills you possess: 

• A university degree, preferably in finance and accounting, or the last year of studies
• Detailed knowledge across Procure to Pay processes (3-way match)
• Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing, allowing for easy communication with external and internal English-speaking clients
• Intermediate level of IT skills must have proven experience of VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables
• Prior experience of working with an outsourced Finance Shared Service Centre is preferable but not mandatory
