Main purpose of the position:
The purpose of this position is to ensure accurate daily treasury operations and full reconciliation of bank movements across all accounts. The role is responsible for monitoring bank balances, reviewing and classifying transactions, ensuring correct accounting entries, and resolving discrepancies with banking entities and internal stakeholders. It also oversees the validation of expense reports within the company’s expense management system, ensuring compliance with internal policies, applicable tax regulations, and documentation standards. A key expectation is maintaining financial accuracy, supporting monthly reconciliation processes, and ensuring all documentation is properly recorded and archived.
What you’ll do:
- Monitor and reconcile daily bank transactions, ensuring accurate accounting entries
- Identify and classify bank movements and assign them to correct branches/cost centers
- Detect discrepancies, errors, duplicates, or unauthorized charges and manage incidents with banking entities
- Request and obtain necessary supporting documentation from branches or departments
- Review and validate employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with internal policy and tax rules
- Communicate with employees to clarify missing information or correct documentation
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure completion without pending movements
- Manage corporate VISA statements, including downloading, archiving, and sharing with relevant teams
- Maintain updated digital archives of banking and expense documentation
- Report relevant incidents or irregularities to the supervisor
Who you’ll work with:
Business stakeholders, PTP Managers, Leaders, Project Managers, Associates,
RACs (Regional Accounting Centers), banks, and internal accounting teams.
Key experience & qualifications:
• Very good knowledge of both Spanish and English (min. B2 level) in speech and writing, allowing for easy communication with external and internal stakeholders
• University degree, preferably in Finance and Accounting or during studies
• 1+ year of experience in Accounting (Shared Service Centre environment is desirable)
• Experience with bank reconciliations and treasury/accounting processes
• Solid knowledge within MS Office (Excel, Word, Internet tools)
• Knowledge of Tickelia or similar expense reporting apps would be a plus
• Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Availability for full-time work
• Intermediate Catalan is a plus but not mandatory
