Main purpose of the position: 

In this role, you will be part of a dynamic Procure-to-Pay (PTP) team responsible for end-to-end transactional processing activities for the Germany market. You will take ownership of invoice validation and processing, ensuring high accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery in line with internal Service Level Agreements.

Your responsibilities will include performing detailed data validation of supplier invoices (both PO and non-PO), resolving discrepancies, and handling complex cases in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures. You will manage queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders, driving timely resolution and performing root cause analysis where required.

You will work closely with vendors, ISS employees, procurement, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and improve invoice quality and compliance. Additionally, you will support audit requirements and contribute to continuous process improvements within the Finance Service Center.

What will you do:  

  • Take ownership of end-to-end invoice validation and processing (paper & e-invoices) in ABBYY and SAP.
  • Perform detailed data checks on header and item level, including PO matching and compliance with invoice requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve complex invoice discrepancies (e.g., vendor mismatch, duplicate invoices, incorrect VAT, blocked POs).
  • Apply correct error marking, corrections, and ensure proper finalization/export of invoices.
  • Handle special cases (e.g., missing vendor data, posting date issues) in line with SOP.
  • Ensure invoices are processed accurately within SLA and support month-end closing activities.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalations and support query resolution.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Procurement, Suppliers, Business) to improve invoice quality and compliance.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and ensuring adherence to controls and procedures.
  • Contribute to process improvements and knowledge sharing within the team.

  • Suppliers, business stakeholders, PTP Managers, Leaders, Project Managers, and Juniors 

 

Professional skills you possess: 

  • A university degree, preferably in finance and accounting, or the last year of studies 
  • Min. 2 years of experience in PTP Team
  • Detailed knowledge across Procure to Pay processes (3-way match)
  • Very good knowledge of English in speech and writing, allowing for easy communication with external and internal English-speaking clients 
  • Intermediate level of IT skills must have proven experience of VLOOKUP’s and Pivot tables
