Main purpose of the position:
We are looking for a team lead to lead a global diverse team of 7 cloud engineers and database administrators in transforming operational practices and skills from on-premise to cloud technologies, ensuring both efficiency and upskilling.
In this role, you’ll ensure the cloud environment remains highly available, secure, and cost-effective and your leadership will play a critical part in driving the company’s cloud migration and modernization efforts.
You will be joining Cloud Operations team, that is responsible for building, maintaining and operating cloud infrastructure in Azure and will report to the Head of Cloud Operations.
What you’ll do:
- Ensure cloud infrastructure uptime, performance, and effective daily operations by leading your team in proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with the Senior Cloud Solution Designer on architectural decisions and strategy.
- Collaborate with the DevOps Team Lead to enhance CI/CD pipelines, improving efficiency and automation practices, and reducing deployment times.
- Establish and improve operational processes for implementing and supporting cloud infrastructure.
- Manage cloud deployments, updates, and resource optimization.
- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and cost management protocols.
Who you’ll work with:
- Cloud Platform Operations team located in Germany, Poland, Denmark, India and Indonesia
- DevOps team located in Portugal, Poland and Germany
- Cloud migration stakeholders from various countries
- Azure platform architect, cloud security architect and network architect in Poland and Germany
Key qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience leading a global or geographically dispersed team of cloud engineers or IT infrastructure engineers, with an emphasis on team-building, trust, and professional growth.
- Understanding of Azure services and architecture or optionally AWS/GCP.
- Demonstrated experience in building productive relationships with DevOps, SecOps, and other business stakeholders to drive alignment on cloud strategies and ensure seamless integration of security, compliance, and operational objectives.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and developing talent, helping team members advance their skills, with a track record of fostering a culture of continuous improvement and upskilling.
- Excellent communication skills, including fluent English.
- Experience in working in a global enterprise with variety of international stakeholders is a plus.
