Network Engineer

Main purpose of the position:

The primary purpose of the Network Engineer with a focus on automation is to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our global network infrastructure through innovative automation solutions. This role is critical in reducing manual processes, minimizing downtime, and ensuring seamless network operations by implementing cutting-edge automation technologies. The engineer will play a key role in driving the company's technological advancement and operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and implement automated network solutions to optimize performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate automation into existing network systems
• Diagnose and resolve network issues
• Implement new network standards that you define

Key qualifications:

• Several years of professional experience in network engineering and automation
• Solid knowledge of routing and switching
• Experience with BGP, SDWAN, and VPN technologies
• Proficiency in managing Palo Alto Firewalls
• Knowledge in monitoring with CheckMK and other tools like NetFlow
• Experience in automation with Python, Ansible, Terraform and Nautobot
• Experience with cloud services such as Azure and AWS

Personal skills you excel:

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in an international team
• Excellent English and German skills; additional language skills are a plus
• Problem-Solving mentality
• You should be able to think outside the box
