Main purpose of the position:
ISS is looking for dynamic individuals in the supply chain, risk and assurance function to drive CUSTOMER VALUE by securing assurance of subcontractors that provide compliance services to ISS.
We’re delighted to be recruiting for a new Supply Chain Assurance Manager to join the ISS Procurement Excellence team. This role will be predominantly working with our Australia and New Zeeland team and Group Supply chain assurance team. Working with suppliers and subcontractors who are aligned with ISS and its customers’ values is critically important to us; the Supply Chain Assurance team drive supply chain compliance with ISS standards and policies on our key customer accounts. You will be responsible for supplier relationship management. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager of Supply Chain Assurance, you will play a key role in adding value to our customer accounts in the Australia and New Zealand, minimising risk exposure via the implementation, delivery, and reinforcement of supplier management processes.
You will work cross-functionally to ensure effective supplier management and strong relationships with both ISS functions and countries (Australia and New Zealand).
What you’ll do:
- Supplier Relationship Management: Ensure focus with material supplier(s), that delivery is consistent, aligned to scope and quality assured.
- Ensure supplier performance is monitored at defined intervals, and corrective actions are implemented to address performance gaps.
- Creation of supplier contracts with flow-down terms and conditions for our material suppliers in Australia and New Zeeland providing services to Key Accounts - liaising with the supplier, Country Legal, the ISS customer account management team and Country Procurement category teams where appropriate. Negotiate terms, pricing and set KPIs and manage the contracts through to signing.
- Work in collaboration with the Vetting team and group assurance team to ensure compliance for suppliers in the assurance programme
- Manage ‘material’ suppliers to complete any client specific requirements
- Conduct audit support activity – introduction meeting including presentation, pre-audit documentation, collaborate with supplier to close gap closure items and submit relevant documentation for closure
- Management of action plans for our key customer accounts, to incorporate defined standards of compliance with the Group Supply Chain & Procurement supplier assurance programme
- Managing and reporting on performance by all parties per supplier assurance activity
- Routinely re-communicating the supplier assurance programme parameters and its importance to all stakeholders and securing their continued buy-in
- Support as required for wider supplier assurance activities, Procurement Excellence projects, and Supply Chain & Procurement objectives
Ideal Candidate
- Previous employment in Supply Chain Management, Supplier Assurance or Procurement (typically 5+ years), or strong corporate background in other professional services within a large organisation
- Degree level education or professional qualification (e.g., CIPS) is highly desirable
- Demonstrable experience in stakeholder/relationship management skills
- Strong business acumen, with negotiation skills (experience of working with contracts is highly desirable)
- Organised, thorough, and diligent work ethic; a desire to take ownership of tasks and deadlines, executing activities without micromanagement
Who you’ll work with:
- Key Account Director / Key Operation Directors – ensure in first instance Compliance Services are managed effectively.
- Critical and Strategic Suppliers (Key contacts)
- Interact with senior ISS stakeholders in establishing a fact base for implementing and driving performance management of suppliers and subcontractors
- Interact with our customers to define, deliver, and update on the assurance progress and enable a risk
- Drive results through working with country procurement, operations organizations and subcontractor.

- You are diplomatic and persuasive and demonstrates good understanding of the general business principles.
